ONE MORE TIME ! Thanks to all my Sponsors

Once again a "HUGE GREAT THANKS" to my SPONSORS who made it possible for me to travel & earn the Gold Medal at the 6 Days in Chile! In particular, thank you: INCOGNITO DATAGLOBAL (Wolfgang Munz) WIED GmbH (Markus & Sigi Wied) SARHOLZ HUSQVARNA (Burkhard & Edith) Fa. FUCHS - scaffolding (Fuchs Fuchs) Fa. MARKL - joinery (Raimund Markl) MSV Buhlertann K. H. THALHEIMER Team HUSSEIN (Lena & Amir) And of course very important to all the MINI sponsors: Martha Wagner, Roland - Sybille Wagner, Stefanie Wagner, Manuel Wagner, Autohaus Kurz, Freesmile bicycles, MIRO Seatfoam, Harry Strohmeier, club fever and others in the background!   After the race is "Before the race" ... so tell the PROs! That's true! And the plans for the Sixdays in Portugal are in full swing! Of course there is still a lot of money missing. Especially because I can not rely on the bike of my father, which is sold now. For the start, the accommodation, the food and much more I have already transferred over 2000, - Euro! There are negotiations for a new bike for the Sixdays, but there will be a min. amount of 6000, - € stick with me & I have to pay for!   The preparation: First of all, we were busy with a plan and even reconsidering not to participate.
The outcome ==> IMPOSSIBLE !! BUT ! ... the required budget for such a project is not to be paid fom petty cash only! Also you need a box for the bike shippment, a motorcycle must be built, which then will then be on a vessel for 2 1/2 months and finally the standrd issues - licenses, visas, airline tickets, clothes etc .....
The financing: Probably the most dreaded point was evapurated, when Dataglobal, WIED GmbH, scaffolding Fuchs & carpentry Raimund MARKL joined the Team and the rest alsmost became a simple task. Along with the many so important MINI sponsors, thay all contributed to the success of the project.
The execution & everyday life: What sounded so easy & cool in conversation after completing the financing ... "we'll go to Chile for the Sixdays" ... over weeks before the race, during the same and even more after that, the real job started, for which you have to bring strong nerves. Our team manager had his backbag stolen from his car on day 3 - stupid ==> with my passport, vehicle papers, driver's license, etc ... This finally gave us 3 days longer stay, a trip to Santiago De Chiile to apply for a new passport, get a new visa for Toronto, extend the rental car, hotel costs, etc ... we had issues and started even blaming ourselfs for nothing !! AND, caused on above situation ==> our budget turned down into a minus of 1500,- Euro :(   The race: Not according to the season, it was pretty hot - always some 30 degrees! The connections to the special stages - a lot of driving on public highways with "Speeding Trucks, big potholes & many other traps! The dust in the special stages almost was so bad that it caused many injuries ... also within German Throphy Teams (Eddi Hübner, Taja Schlosser - out on day 2 & many other riders with bad bruises. From the very first day I could acjieve fastest times of all German CLUB drivers, always delivering the best time in the special stages and being the fastest German club driver in the individual driver classification. Also in the CLUB driver team rating we turned out to be the Best German Club Team!
Just writing this down right now, I can still not quite grasp this today - it's like a fairy tale and I would never have dreamed it will get so!   THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHICH HAVE HELPED TO GET ME THERE!
