My catch-up hunt was unfortunately stopped by the organizer today. If pain and fading power sets in for my opponents, my strong phase will surface and my fight will start.
A best time, another great run at the spezials and then then the race unfortunatly was stopped by the organizers! What happened? It started with heavy rain and stormy conditions in the mountains. Many of the amateur riders got a lot of problems with heavy driveways, in the stone fields and at other parts of the track. On a driveway to the scree slopes (... similar to Erzberg in Austria - Carls Dinner), many of the privatiers couldn't keep riding up the climbs and making progress at the track. It quickly rallied about 150 riders who blocked each other ungauged and caused the race abort from the organizer ... it was just too dangerous to control the whole thing and to maintain general safety for everyone! Nevertheless, again I could improve my classification - now already reached position 65 in the Club riders overall ranking. Only 7 places behind my team colleague Maxi Hahn ! The catch-up race continues tomorrow - I promise !! Nico Maier on his 250-he managed again a few places and ended the day in position 92 overall. He turns out to be the Teams Jocker and has improved by 2 more places. Our team is now ranked 20th in the CLUB TEAM ranking! Even more important to us - we are also ranked the best German CLUB TEAM after day 3 !!
